I am so excited about that purchase because it was only $25 and is originally $49.99!! What a deal-- 50% off!!! It is great since S and I just moved into our house and now we can send mail out with a personalized stamp! Yayy!!! It was through Groupon but through the website Invitation Box. Check it out they have some awesome stamps! Now I am going to have the issue of picking out which awesome stamp I want. Here are a few of the ones I like!!

I like the M and then the 2 first names

Love this one- the heart pretty much covers where we live

Maybe this monogram?

And love this SC one of course!
Who doesn't love a cute personalized stamp and especially at a great price?!?! I also said I would include weekend pictures and I have yet to do that so without further ado- here are my weekend pictures!!

We had a great weekend with family and friends! We lost a good friend this weekend- S had a teacup poodle that was 14 years old and he died over the weekend which was upsetting. Poor S. He wants to get an English Bulldog now and name him Roscoe- we will see what happens with that idea.

Weekend

Hey ya'll. Well we had a great weekend! We celebrated my older sister's birthday, celebrated St. Patty's day, and even spent time together! S and I rarely spend a lot of time together because of the way our schedules work out. Hopefully one day our schedules will align but for now we are doing what we can. My sister turned 27 on Friday so we celebrated at my mom's house and had friends and family over. Mom made Eggplant Parmigiana and Pasta Primavera with fresh loafed bread and salad, and for dessert she made a New York style cheesecake. It was an amazing meal. Family dinners make me apprciate my family and our roots so much more! We played Apples to Apples and Last Word and had a blast as a family all together. It makes you miss the ones who aren't there though. We lost my dad a year and a half ago and family dinners always make me miss him more.

After a fun filled night on Friday, we had another fun filled day on Saturday. I cleaned, mopped, and did laundry on Saturday while S played golf at the Country Club. When he got home we got ready and went out for St. Patty's day/my sisters 27th birthday! We went downtown Greenville, SC and went to one of my favorite bar/restaurants- The Carolina Ale House! They have an upstairs open air patio which is awesome and all around the bar they have huge TV's! They had every basketball game on so S was happy needless to say. We ate nachos, drank cold green beer, and had a blast!! S & I went home early while they partied the night away- we decided to be the "old people" of the night. We stopped at McDonald's and got fries and shamrock shakes- we were bad and ate bad food.

St Patty's Day is about all things green- Jello Shots, Green Beer, and Shamrock Shake from Mcdonalds

Sunday we woke up and went to my future in-laws because they were grilling out before little league practice. Lunch was amazing!! Burgers, potato salad, baked beans, and oreo delight! Oreo Delight is this amazing dessert with oreo's, cool whip, cream cheese, and chocolate pudding! It is heavenly. While at S's house we found his N-64 from like 2000- needless to say we are over the moon about playing the old school Mario and Mario Kart!!

Super Mario 64

Waialae Golf game (clearly this is an S game)
I cooked dinner Sunday night. I made a recipe I found on Pinterest and it was amazing. Dinner was kind of a appetizer instead of a meal. We had chips and salsa and Taco Wonton's. The recipe is super easy and yummy.
Taco Wonton's:
1lb of sausage
2 cups of cheddar cheese
1 pkg of wonton wrappers
1/2 cup of ranch dressing
1 pkg taco seasoning

Brown sausage and add taco seasoning- cook like on the taco season package. Preheat oven to 350 and go ahead and place wonton wrappers in a cupcake pan in the oven while preheating for about 7-8 mins. After sausage is browned and taco seasoning is added-- mix sausage, cheese, and ranch in a bowl. When mixed add to wonton wrappers. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes until brown. Cool and enjoy!

We had an amazing weekend with each other!!! I cannot wait until next weekend to spend more time together!!

My weekend

I have come to the conclusion that it is near impossible to blog when you do not have internet. S and I have yet to set up internet and cable and we have been moved in for a month. Which means that my iPhone is my only communication with the world and blogging on an iPhone is a little bit hard! This means blogging comes few and far between. S and I had a great weekend except for me being a little sick- I hate colds! There is really no cure for them except for cold medicine which isn't instant relief sadly. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

On Thursday before work I had to go get an oil change so I had time to kill before I had to be into work so I wandered into Kohl's which probably wasn't the best idea for someone like me who loves (needs) everything in their housewares department! Well I stumpled upon the most amazing deal of my life. Their KitchenAid knife sets were all 60% off and on top of that if you applied for a credit card and got approved you got an additional 30% off your purchase. I took these babies home with me for $22.31 which I would say is not too bad!!

New KitchenAid knife block!
S and I went shopping with the family all day on Friday which was amazing because we haven't had a day off together in forever! So we went to the outlets in Gaffney, SC which have some great stores might I add! We shopped the whole day and had a blast with each other. We appreciate our time together much more now that we barely see each other. S just got some baseball shoes the other day so it was my turn to get new shoes. My new obsessions is bright, colorful running shoes! I found the most awesome Adidas colorful shoes which will match not a single pair of scrubs I own, but I love them regardless!

Hot Pink and Neon Green new Adidas shoes!
On Friday night after shopping all day we got home and I was sick as a dog. I had the chills, a runny nose, a sore throat, and my head was killing me-- no fun! S had to work on saturday so he brought me the puppies to sleep with me once he left- I have the sweetest future husband if I didn't already mention that. Also I'm not sure if my puppies have ever had the appropriate introduction. I two precious furry children and I love them to death! My first baby is a teacup chihuahua and her name is Chloe Coco Chanel- we call her Chloe. She is four and perfect in every way. Then there is the other baby who is a puppy farm rescue so she is very skiddish but sweet as can be- she is a maltise bichon mix or a Maltichon. Her name is Emmie Lou Sue- we call her Emmie or fluff depending on when her lasting grooming was. They are sweet as can be! They love to snuggle in the bed and they are perfect for keeping you warm when you have the chills!!! Well once they woke me up on Saturday morning - I got up and walked them around our neighborhood and then came back inside and found the cure for all colds! Hot tea and honey works miracles for the sick person!

New Favorite hot tea- add honey and it is perfection!
I drank my tea while lounging around the house and cleaning! I am addicted to all things animal print- I even have leopard and zebra print Danskos if that tells you anything about how deep that obsession runs! Well my first Christmas with S he got me these amazing leopard slippers- I am pretty sure they have memory foam in them. I wear them around the house and even in the car on the way to church when I don't feel like putting on my shoes til we get to church. My leopard slippers plus the hot tea were my "sick lifesaver" this weekend!

Leopard Slipper love!
I wanted to sit outside because it was so beautiful but I have no patio furniture so I went out and got the most awesome colorful adirondack chairs for my front porch- we want rocking chairs but for now these will do. The rest of the day Saturday was spent on my front porch reading in the sun in the beautiful 78* weather- it can stay like that for awhile please! Chloe (the princess) decided she was going to sit on the front porch with me and bake in the sun! So while I lounged and read a few books/magazines on my iPad- Chloe sat in the sun and was happy observing the neighbors!

New Adirondack Chairs on the front porch.

Chloe "lounging" on her bed on the front porch.
While I was lounging on the porch I happened to notice that it is starting to look like spring. The daffodils in my front yard have started to bloom along with all of the "popcorn trees" as we call them. My neighbors have beautiful popcorn trees lining their driveway so I snapped a picture because they look beautiful!!

Popcorn Trees
Saturday night was spent hanging out at my future-in-laws house and we had a blast with S's little brothers. With the time change being on Saturday night/Sunday morning we slept through our alarms on Sunday morning and did not make it to church. S just started coaching his little brother's little league team so we had practice on Sunday afternoon and then went back to S's parents house and I cooked everyone dinner. We had a great weekend together! This weekend should be fun too- my older sisters birthday is Friday so we are going out on Saturday night for St. Patricks day- bring on the green beer!

My first 3 tier cake

Hey ya'll! What a great and relaxing weekend we had! Last night we had dinner/family game night at my mom's house- what a blast let me just say! Well Mom made some of her amazing lasagna and I decided to make dessert. I look on Pinterest constantly for good dessert recipes, well I found this beautiful funfetti cake and decided that funfetti cake it was. When S and I moved into our house my Grandmother gave me some cake pans in different sizes so I decided to try out a tiered cake. For my first one it wasn't awful but I hope to improve! The baking instructions are pretty easy- I cheated and used a box mix instead of from scratch. Here are a few pictures of my creation.

Cake Batter- I added extra sprinkles

3 different layers in oven baking

Cakes cooling on cooling racks before icing

I made up my own icing- cool whip, chocolate pudding, and a little milk!

Final Product- It had cake crumbles and sprinkles on each layer

Sliced into

Yummy slice of cake!

Even Gus wanted some! But the silly chocolate doesn't know he can't eat chocolate!

And the different stages of cake!
Next time I want to try and make a cake from scratch! I have a long way to go before I will be making any professional looking cakes! Basically I shouldn't quit my day job to make cakes. But it tasted good and I guess that is what counts!

Obsessions of the week

Hey Ya'll! Hope this weekend is going well for all. It has all of a sudden gotten cold and I am not ok with that because I have gotten way to used to this warm spring like weather. Last week I shared my obsessions of the week and I decided to do it again this week!

Obsession # 1:
The Duke Blue Devils. I love Blue Devil basketball! Being from North Carolina, we have 4 very good ACC teams- Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, NC State, and Duke! I love NC State and Duke but when it comes to basketball- I bleed royal blue! My Christmas present from S this year was tickets to Cameron Indoor to watch Duke play. For anyone who knows anything about Duke- you know it is all but impossible to get tickets to watch them play. Cameron Indoor is a tiny basketball stadium so getting tickets isn't easy. Today we play are arch rival- Chapel Hill (blah)! The Duke-Chapel Hill rivalry is known as one of the biggest rivalries in college basketball. It's kind of a big deal. Tonight is Senior night and they play at Cameron Indoor and considering we beat Chapel Hill at the Dean Smith Center- Chapel Hill is out for blood. Let's go Blue Devils!

Obsession # 2:
The KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I have wanted a KitchenAid Stand Mixer for forever. My Grandma has had two of them for as long as I can remember and I want one so bad. That will be the first item I register for when S and I go register for our wedding. I am torn between getting the classic white or the black or the steel colored one. All of our appliances are stainless and black so I feel like white would clash with our appliances. But I will be happy regardless what color I get!

Obsession # 3:
Nail Polish. I have been completely obsessed with nail polish this week. I found all this cute ways to paint nails on Pinterest this week and I have been dying to try out one of the cute ideas I found. I have an absolute favorite color that I get on my toes every time I get a pedicure and that is Cajun Shrimp by OPI because it is the perfect toe nail color! I have lately been obsessed with grey and mint colors for my finger nails. French Quarter for your Thoughts by OPI is an amazing grey color. Last night S and I were in CVS and I found an amazing color by Wet and Wild called I need a refresh-mint and it is Tiffany blue exactly and it was cheap!

Obsession # 4:
I have fallen in love with It's a Ten Miracle Leave In Product. I have somewhat frizzy and wavy hair so when I find something that calms or tames my hair it is pretty amazing! Since we have had a lot of rain in the Carolina's this week I have used this everyday and my hair has been amazing everyday. You can find it at Ulta- that is where mine is from. Of course anything that works well comes with a nice price tag but it is amazing!
It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Product
Obsession # 5:
Bracelets with Watches. I have over the past year developed quite a love for watches, especially the big over sized plastic or resin watches. I have 2 of the Fossil ones and got my older sister the most beautiful tortoise Michael Kors watch for Christmas. Lately I have been seeing pictures on Pinterest for watches with bangles and bracelets and I love that look. So today I picked up a few cheap little bangles and bracelets to wear with my watch and let me just say it is too cute!!

Different Options of watches with bangles

and again

and another option
Well I hope everyone has a relaxing rest of the weekend. I am excited about tomorrow- I love Sunday's. S and I will be going to church and then S will be headed to the country club to play some golf while I pick up the house and then we will be going to my Mother's for Sunday dinner.
